Bloomington-Normal, IL became the first “Not In Our Town (NIOT)” community, helping to inspire and spark the movement in cities across the U.S. Now, more than 26 years later, this community continues to lead a charge against hate. On Monday, April 17, 2023, community members, students, city and law enforcement leaders came together to screen NIOT’s new film Repairing the World: Stories From the Tree of Life, and discuss how to continue to build inclusive and loving environments that make hate less likely.

Solidarity is the solution to this type of divisive hate. We encourage every community to voice their support for their local and national Jewish neighbors.
